Mayor's Awards 2025 Nomination Form
Overview
The Castle Point Mayor's Business Awards are an annual celebration to showcase and recognise the achievements of local businesses and entrepreneurs in the borough. Anyone can nominate a business or an apprentice. Only businesses with a trading address within the borough of Castle Point will be accepted.
This year the 'Community Champion' Award recognises not just the best community champion in business, but we are also seeking local community champions, from outside the business world. They could be volunteers, or support local good causes etc. If you know someone special in your local community give them a shout out!
Entries will be judged by an independent panel, including category sponsors (barring conflict of interest). All shortlisted nominees will be invited to a celebratory networking lunch with the Mayor in March, before the presentation ceremony.
Categories include:
- Business of the Year, sponsored by Deyton Bell
- Mayor's Community Champion Award, sponsored by Fi911 Chargebacks
- Rising Star Award: Young Businessperson of the Year, sponsored by USP College
- Start-up Business of the Year, sponsored by KFH Accounting Ltd
- Creative Business of the Year, sponsored by Ingleton Wood
- Small Business Employer of the Year, sponsored by Let's Do Business Group
- Tech Business of the Year, sponsored by Calor

The awards have been running now for over 15 years, and have become hugely popular among the local business community. To read a bit more about the awards, and to see previous winners, visit: The Mayor's Awards | CastlePoint
We are also excited to annouce the addition of the Citizen of the Year category. We're seeking local community champions from outside the business world.
