Castle Point Borough Council is updating its housing management system. As part of this work, we are reviewing the format and wording of tenant rent statements.

We would like your feedback on whether the draft rent statement is clear and easy to understand.

Before answering the questions, please read the attached example rent statement carefully. As you read it, please think about whether the layout, wording, column headings, balance information and payment descriptions are easy to understand.

Your feedback will help us make the rent statement clearer and more useful for tenants.

Your rent statement should be easy to read and understand. It should clearly show charges, payments, adjustments and whether your account is in credit or has an amount owing.
