Mayor's Awards 2026 Nomination Form

Closes 1 Mar 2026

Opened 1 Dec 2025

Overview

The Castle Point Mayor's Business Awards are an annual celebration to showcase and recognise the achievements of local businesses and entrepreneurs in the borough. Anyone can nominate a business or an apprentice. Only businesses with a trading address within the borough of Castle Point will be accepted.

This year we're proud to accounce our main event sponsors, Essex County Council and D4P Media. We'd also like to thank our category sponsors, who are listed below.

The 'Community Champion' Award recognises not just the best community champion in business, but we are also seeking local community champions, from outside the business world.

The 'Citizen of the Year' Award seeks community champions from outside the business world. They could be volunteers, individuals who dedicate their time to local causes, or those who have made a significant positive impact within the community.

Entries will be judged by an independent panel, including category sponsors (barring conflict of interest).

Categories include:

  • Business of the Year, sponsored by D4P Media
  • Mayor's Community Champion Award, sponsored by Octopus Networks
  • Rising Star Award: Young Businessperson of the Year, sponsored by USP College
  • Creative Business of the Year, sponsored by Fi911 Chargebacks
  • Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by c2c Railway
  • Start-up Business of the Year
  • Customer Service Award
  • Green Business of the Year

The awards have been running now for over 15 years, and have become hugely popular among the local business community. To read a bit more about the awards, and to see previous winners, visit: The Mayor's Awards | CastlePoint
